Historic Wales Garden is an attractive, stable residential community established in the early 1900’s. The large number of joggers and bikers who enjoy Wales Garden each day can attest to the appeal of this neighborhood’s large upkept houses and grounds. The area’s close proximity to the University of South Carolina, the state capitol, and Fort Jackson, the largest Army training base in the US, add to its appeal.

Wales Garden is located in the Richland One School District with students attending Moore Elementary, Hand Middle and Dreher High Schools.

Homes in Wales Garden range from 1000 – 7500 square feet with 2-7 bedrooms. The average price for these homes are $150,000 – 1.4 Million.

The Wales Garden Neighborhood Association is a voluntary association established on March 10, 2002. The purpose of our nonprofit, non-partisan association is to promote, preserve, and improve the neighborhood. Wales Garden promotes neighborhood awareness, concern, and community spirit through maintaining a neighborhood directory, informing residents on matters of common interest, maintaining communications with the City of Columbia, and hosting monthly meetings and an annual social gathering. The Association fees range from $15 – $25 per year.
