Camden, South Carolina’s Hisortic District is geographically situated on the head of the navigable Wateree River. Camden was the home of the Native American Cofitachequi civilization and one of the eleven townships decreed by King George II in 1732. The Historic District is made up of a variety of Southern Style Historic homes. The Historic District is made up of homes rich in early American History with several battle ground sites and tours.
